NOTD: OPI Russian Navy Suede

This evening I'm going to a party and after long and hard thinking what nail polish to wear, I chose OPI Russian Navy Suede. It's a darker blue colour with tons of silver and blue shimmer in it.

This Suede polishes are quite difficult to work with - they are very thick, completely opaque after one application and they dry very very fast.

Pictures (one coat):

What do you think about this colour - do you like it or not?

NOTD: Essie After Sex & Matte About You

On my nails today is Essie After Sex (2 coats), lovely vivid red colour with a hint of fuchsia in it (visible when only one coat is applied) and a lot of tiny shimmer.

I have upgraded this manicure with Essie Matte About You. Here is the result. In reality it's a bit more darker than on this picture.

Which version do you prefer?

Alverde Lipstick Swatches

Today I'm going to show you some Alverde Lipstick swatches. I have 5 Alverde lipsticks - Alverde is cosmetic brand by DM (Drogerie Markt) and it has the BDIH certificate for natural cosmetics. Between lipsticks I own is quite a difference - some of them (the more shimmery ones) are more dry then others and I can't use them without lip balm underneath.

The photos:

From left to right: 02 Shiny Terra, 16 Rubin Rot, 20 Apricot Rot, 54 Soft Coralle, 110 Soft Terra (order is the same on all photos)

I like the colours, but I'm not so excited about the texture of these lipstick. As I sad, some of them are quite dry.

Do you own any Alverde lipstick? Do you like it?

Thank you :)

NOTD: Essence Hohoho + Sparkling Dawn

For my Christmas manicure I used: 2 coats of Essence Hohoho nail polish (from All I Want LE) and Sparkling Dawn (from Moonlight LE) for sponge art.

This is my very first photo taken with this camera, so I apologize for bad quality of pics *blush* So, please don't be too hard on me this time.

Thanks for looking and your kind words ;)

Present For Me :)

Look what I have found under the Christmas tree :D

I'm playing with it right now. There is so much to learn, so first photos will probably be very blury and lousy.

Kiss Diamond Hard, Nail Strengthener - Review

Couple of weeks ago I was looking for my first basecoat. I have never used one before, but because of constant use of darker polishes and my nails that were getting weaker and kept splitting lately, I was forced to get something to fix my problems.
I was looking for something that is strengthener and basecoat at the same time, that is available in Slovenia and for good price.
After an hour or more standing before nail care shelf in my nearest beauty store (DM) and checking out all the products, I have decided to get Kiss Diamond Hard.

I picked this one because it fit all my upper criteria:
- can be also used as basecoat
- price 5,25€ for 15ml of product
- contains no DBP, Camphor, Toluene, Formaldehyde.

Here is what it promises:

Stronger Healthier Nails in Days!

Why Diamond Strength, Nail Strengthener
• Strengthening basecoat that instantly transforms your nails from weak-thin to 'diamond-hard'
• Enriched with real diamond particles - Stronger and healthier nails in days
• Instantly bonds to nails for a super-hard protective surface

Photo: KissUSA

My opinion:

- First impression: after first use I was satisified. Like the bottle and the shape of the brush. I applied two layers of this nail hardener and my nails became a bit shiny, all the splitters on the edges of my nails disappeared - like they were paste together and nails were stronger when I tried to bend them. After one day I applied coloured nail polish and it turned out that it works good as basecoat too - smooth application, no bubbles.

- After couple of weeks: Can't do without. I use it every two or three days, if I'm not wearing a coloured polish.

The only thing I don't like about it, is that my nail-tips become a bit more narrow - twisted in - in compare with the rest of the nail after using this hardener.

Do you use nail hardener and basecoat? Which one?

After Long Time Again In Ljubljana

I spent last two days in Ljubljana (Capitol City of Slovenia), because I had to arrange few last things before I finish up with my diploma. Now I have to wait that the date of my presentation is set... I'm already nervous :S

Of course I couldn't missed out the opportunity (being in Ljubljana after long, long time), so I went in all beauty stores that are in the city :) I've bought few nail polishes - I finally got OPI LPAD and Russian Navy in Suede version, OPI MY Private Jet and Alessandro 291 and also few other things.

When this will be over, I'm going to start take pictures again, so I can show all my new stuff. In November I bought so many new polishes and they are all waiting to be published. And today I received a package with CG Robotika and Drive In in it (thanks to very nice girl with nick "Sillyblond" from forum Ars Cosmetica).

Thanks for stopping by!
