Swatch: NYX Nail Polish in Jungle & Paradise + Giveaway Winner

I made the swatches of two NYX's nail polishes yesterday.


Here is Jungle, 2 coats:

This one has looked sooo promising in the bottle... I like the colour, I do. But I was a bit disappointed about how sheer this one is. I usually don't mind visible nail line (with some shades), but here, I don't know. I feel that nail polish in this kind of colour should give a full coverage. I added the third coat later, but it didn't help much. Too bad :(

The second one is Paradise, 3 coats:

Oh, what can I say... So sheer even after 3 coats. Nope, not really my thing either...

My dissapointment with these two polishes has vanished this morning, because I received a swap package from the sweetest lady with whole lot of beauties. I'll show them tomorrow :D

Swatch: NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss In Sweet Heart & Crystal Soda

Today I made swatches of the two NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses I received in my recent order - Sweet Heart and Crystal Soda.

Sweet Heart on the left and Crystal Soda on the right:

Sweet Heart is semi-opaque and gives a nice colour to the lips:

Crystal soda is more sheer with pretty sparkles in it. It really gives "mega" shine to the lips. It also looks very nice layered over a lipstick:

Some love them, other hate them. Red nail polishes. I *love* them.

Barielle Glammed Out Garnet is sort of deep ruby red jelly base full of gorgeous glass-flecked shimmer or micro glitter. Very pretty and sparkling.

I got this beauty in a swap with Jessica at Polished Lyrics. I just couldn't decide which photos to pick out and publish...

NOTD: Catrice Just Married & Some Big Lolly Pop

Yesterday evening I went out with my friend for some hot cocoa. Yes, hot cocoa. I know, it's summer. But we had stormy weather last night and it was cold and that cocoa sure felt good :)

Anyway... This nail polish is also from last night and is still on my nails. I went for a softer shade this time. I'm wearing light pink shimmery colour - Catrice Just Married. I applied three coats, because this one is a bit on the sheer side and I wanted to make it opaque.

And if you were wondering about the title of this post... Here is the BIG Lolly Pop my friend gave me yesterday. She was recently on Menorca Island and she brought me this candy :D

Sophyto Skincare Part II - Update

Those of you who are with me for a longer period of time probably know that I have Perioral Dermatitis. I've already blogged about the Sophyto products couple of months ago when I started using them and about the condition of my skin at that time HERE.

I'm still using Sophyto's products regulary every evening. Only now I'm using Tone & Balance toner instead of Purify & Energise one. As an additional care I've used Multivitamin Skin Drops for some time. I'm really pleased with these products and I think that are worth of their price.

Here is how my skin looks now:

The chin is still red and a bit problematic, but all in all I think that results are quite good compared to the picture in this post.

I have to say though that my skin usually does look better in summer anyway than during the winter and spring season, but it was never this good as it is this year.

I've been listening to the Queen's music non-stop for the last week or so, in case if you were wondering...

NOTD: Essence Pointbreak & Joy 386

What I have for you today is Essence Pointbreak from Surfer Babe TE.

I have to thank to Gejba from Parokeets to get me this one, because this Trend Edition was very hard to get (it was sold only in few drugstores).

Pointbreak is a beautiful dark grey shade with creme finish. I used 2 coats:

I've decided to upgraded this one a bit, so I've added a layer of (Vollare) Joy 386. This is a clear base with pink, purple and bronze micro-glitter flakes in it. The final result was that Joy 386 somehow "killed" the glossiness of Poinbreak and gave slightly visible glittery effect:

NOTD: NYX Asphalt

Nyx Asphalt is rather sheer black base with multi-coloured glitter in it. I used three very thick coats to achieve decent opaque look. Next time will definitely be layered over black creme base.

Song of the day: Queen - Another one bites the dust

LOTD: NYX (Girls) Round Lip Gloss In Peach & The Most Delicious Pralines

This morning I went shopping with my friend and I just wanted to show you what I was wearing on my lips. It was Nyx (Girls) Round Lip Gloss in Peach. I like the way it looks in the tube, but I was a bit dissapointed about how sheer it turned out on me.

I also wanted to share "The most" delicious pralines I've eaten so far - Lindt Fioretto Nougat pralines. I found them the other day when I was in supermarket and had craving for something sweet.

I must say - OMG is this yummy, delicious and I was in chocolate heaven while eating it. But it's quite pricy. There are only six pralines in one box, so I only ate one praline per day. I wasn't sure, if I'm gonna make it eating just that single one, but I did :D
