NOTD: Essence Plum Perfect

Maybe "Nails of the Hour" would be more appropriate title for this post, because that's how long my manicure lasted...

I put Essence nail polish in shade Plum Perfect from their Colour&Go line on this morning and about an hour later I was off to grape-gathering at our wineyard. I think there is no need for further explanation what that did to my manicure! *lol*

I really don't know what kind of colour is this, but it sure doesn't look like plum to me. Is it pink, purple? Berry, maybe? Help :)
I do know that it's smooth and easy to apply. I used 2 coats, but I could probably use just one, if I were more careful.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Bit Of Everything... Mixed Together (In A Very Long And Confusing Post)

Even the title of this post is long and confusing... :D

As I said yesterday, my life was a bit messy lately. I think I'm slowly getting back to normal now.

The fact is that the Autumn is here. Just look at the Tulip Tree in front of our house. Can you see how the leaves are changing it's colour from inside out:

It looks nice doesn't it?

Next news :)

My cat wasn't feeling well and was acting very strangely last couple of days - he kept throwing up, then didn't want to eat anything and so on. So I took him to the vet on Monday and it turned out that he has Gastritis :S
Now I have to force him to eat anti-acid pills and he is on the strict diet for about 3-4 months. He ain't very happy cat right now that's for sure.
He also hates driving in a car and he was really angry all the time. Wanna see how a very angry cat looked like after we finally got home from the vet?

He slept like this entire Monday afternoon.

Next - I have picked the Monthly Contest Winner! Yay! :D Congrats to:

I'll write you an e-mail later on.

Last but not least - quite some time ago I have received two blog awards from my fellow blogger Lunatica. I have already received them before, but I wanted to thank you :)

I also got tagged by Alexa1202 to do "The '88 Tag".

Rules: *~*create 8 dif questions and tag 8 dif people*~*

Here are the questions that Alexa has come up with:

1. How much money do you spend on beauty products each month?
Too much! *lol*

2. What is your favorite TV series?
I don't have any right now.

3. What is the most beautiful present you ever got?
I haven't got it yet! :D

4. What's your favorite food?
Does chocolate count?

5. What's your current job?

6. Do you cook? If you do, what is your favorite dish?
I don't like to cook very much, but I'm good at prepairing all sorts of vegetable soups.

7. Which country/city that you have visited you liked most?
I liked Wienna a lot.

8. What is your favorite book?
I have more than one favourite. I read these every year I think: Shakespeare's Sonets; Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert; Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder; Desiree by Annemarie Selinko...

Now, I have to tag 8 persons who have to answer my questions...

I tag all of you, my dear readers, to answer the same questions :)

If you're reading this very last sentence in today's post, I have to thank you for your patience! :D

NOTD: China Glaze TMI

My life is a bit messy right now, so this will be another short post with another holo polish from China Glaze OMG Collection :)

Here it is China Glaze TMI. Other bloggers describe this one as a red coral holographic shade. So, red coral it is. Two coats, photos were taken outside:

NOTD: Finger Paints Artist's Sapphire

It's been raining here for the last two days and we already have floods. The weather forecast said that it will still be raining tomorrow... :S

I'm feeling a bit blue lately, so I went for a blue nail polish. I have chosen Artist's Sapphire by Finger Paints. This my very first Finger Paints polish (thanks, Jessica) and I like it. Easy to apply, smooth and well pigmented. The only thing that bothered me a bit, is a bit longer handle than I'm use to. But after a finger or two, I got used to it :)

Artist's Sapphire is a gorgeous shimmery and very vibrant deep blue shade. Here it is in two coats:

How are you these days?

My 2nd Lily Lolo Order & Swatches

Couple of weeks ago I discovered Slovenian web store called that sells Lily Lolo products along with some other brands. I blogged about my first order at them and showed you the swatches of the Lily Lolo e/s I ordered at that time HERE - altough that post is in slovenian language only (because this webstore kindly offered my slovenian readers 15% discount code, I made that post in slovenian language), you can check out the swatches I made anyway, if you like :)

Well, I coudn't resist that discount, so I made the second (tiny) order. Here are the products I got - I ordered and paid for Lip Gloss in Raspberry Crush, samples of Translucent Silk & Flawless Matte Finishing Powders; there was also Chocolate Fudge Cake mineral e/s in my package that was sent to me for free:

Here is the Raspberry Crush Lip Gloss on my lips - it's a pretty pink shade with golden shimmer in it:

I was really excited about the eye shadow, because it's really interesting and more complex shade that I have expected - it looks like brownish purple colour with purple/blue sparkles in it in the jar...

...but when I made the wet swatch on my hand, I got to see this awesome blue sheen. On the left is Lip Gloss in Raspberry Crush and on the right is a wet swatch of the Chocolate Fudge Cake e/s:

Do you have any Lily Lolo products? How do you like them?

***Disclosure: The product(s) in this post were sent to me by a company or PR for consideration.***

NOTD: China Glaze Grape Juice

I haven't used any China Glaze polish for quite some time now. Don't even know why... But when I put Cherry Crystal on the other day, I have re-discovered the love for China Glaze polishes.

China Glaze Grape Juice is from Summer 2009 Collection and it's a soft purple shade, loaded with silver glass-flecked shimmer. And when I say loaded, I mean LOADED. Sometimes it even looks like it has foil finish. Annie, thank you again for this one :)

This baby was smooth and easy to work with. I used 2 coats:

I hope you had a great weekend and wish you a good start of the new week! :)

NOTD: China Glaze Cherry Crystal

I've been a bit grumpy lately... It's so cold, rainy and dark last couple of days and my mood apparently matches the weather.

I though that a pretty shimmery red nail polish would make me feel better. Well, I'm still grumpy, but at least my nails look good :D

I'm wearing China Glaze Cherry Crystal that I got in a swap with lovely Annie at Nailstah. It's one of the old ones, I guess, because it's not a "nose-friendly" polish (it has quite strong smell). It's not a unique shade, but I like it anyway and it was on my wish list for long time (if you are with me for a longer period of time, then you know - if it's red and shimmery, then I like it).

Here it is, 2 coats (photo was taken outside, no sun):

How are you doing these days? ;)

NOTD: Essie Demure Vixen & Some More Awards

Essie Demure Vixen is the only polish that I have bought from their Summer 2010 Collection. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I really like how it looks on the nails.

Essie describes this colour as: "iridescent cocoa mauve", so I'll go with this description. It's a light mauve, with fine and subtle purple/blue shimmer. It's a very soft and lovely shade.

Application was good, I used 3 coats to get the full coverage. First two pictures were taken outside, but there was no sun, so I couldn't capture that shimmer in it:

Under artificial light the cocoa part of description steps forward and you can now see some shimmer too:

Did you get anything from Essie Summer Collection?

NOTD: Barielle Shades Date Night

I haven't posted any NOTD pictures for a while now. That's because I wore Barielle Glammed Out Garnet 3(!) times in a row. Yes, I love that shade. I love Barielle polishes - great texture, smooth and easy application. Thanks again, Jessica :)

Today I'm wearing Barielle's Date Night. Pretty, shimmery green colour; two coats:
