Tag: My Top 5 Nail Polishes Of 2010

Lovely Ulmiel tagged me to do "My Top 5 Of 2010" post like a month ago. And now I have finally come to a conclusion which 5 polishes rocked my (nail polish) world last year :D

Let's take a look! I have sorted them by brand alfabetically.

Barielle Glammed Out Garnet:

Essie Limited Addiction:

Essie Sew Psyched:

OPI The Show Must Go On:

Zoya Charla:

Surprisingly, no purple polish has made in my top 5 (purple is my favourite nail polish colour right after red, of course)... Hmmm... Any recommendation on a pretty pretty purple polish? :)

My Newest (Sleek) Toys :D

On Sunday afternoon during browsing on Facebook I found out that I can actually buy Sleek MakeUp palettes in Slovenia in a web store called Moja Drogerija. I didn't hesitate at all and ordered two of them. And today the package was already in my mailbox.

Here are my two newest make up toys :D

NOTD: Color Club With Abandon

Finally, I had some time this morning to sit down and paint my nails! :D

I picked out Color Club With Abandon. It was released as part of "Wild at Heart" Collection for Fall 2009. How to describe this one? It's a dark brown/black creme base full of golden, bronze and olive glass-flecked shimmer. Pretty! :)

My bottle is a bit on the sheer side, so I used three thinner coats to get totally even and opaque application. But it was worth it.

Monthly Contest - January

Yay! This time I'm actually posting my Monthly Contest a day earlier as usual (that gives you an extra day for entering) :D

I've been so busy since last week - as soon as I come home from one errand/volunteering/visit/etc, I'm off to another. I haven't even had a coffee for 3 or 4 days (I don't think that this has ever happened to me before)! O.o
Which also means that I don't have a lot of spare time for blogging. I'm still trying to catch up with all of your posts. So, if you see me commenting on your 2 or 3 days old post, you now know why ;)

This time I'm giving away:

- Barry M Nail Paint in Mushroom
- Barry M Nail Paint in Dusky Mauve

Rules are simple (as always):
- Be a follower.
- Leave a comment saying whatever you like and please, leave your e-mail.
- Open internationally.
- Ends on Thursday, 27 January at 20:00 (GMT +01:00).

Good luck!

NOTD: Sancion Angel Neytiri

Here is the first Sancion Angel holo polish from the swap with Sarah. It's called Neytiri and it's a beautiful blue holo shade. The holo effect is a bit shy under this weak winter sun. So I just can't wait for the summer sun to rock this baby! :D

I had no problems with application - it went on smoothly and this polish is very well pigmented too. I used two coats, altough it was totally opaque after one coat.

Wanna se some (clickable) pictures now? ;)

Here they are:

What do you think about this one? :)

Nail Mail From Brazil :D

Recently I had an opportunity to do a swap with lovely Sarah at Them Pretty Colors. I've been really excited about our swap, because she offered to send me some of Sancion Angel holographic polishes. How cool is that?

Wanna see what I've received? ;)

Sancion Angel in Ariel and Morgana:

Sancion Angel in Neytiri and Luna:

And she also send me an extra - Hits Specialitta polish in Manaca:

Thank you very much, Sarah! :*

NOTD: Wet'n'Wild Night Prowl

Just a short post today. Well, not that my posts are usually long, but you know what I mean *lol*

On my nails is W'n'W polish in Night Prowl - black polish with purple glitter. It's a bit on the sheer side, so I used 3 coats to get totally even and opaque result. Like with Avon's Golde Wine I wish that glitter in the bottle would transfer on the nails in a bigger amount.

Ikove (mini) Haul

For couple of years now, I've been using certified natural/organic skin care products for my face and body. I've tried lots of brands - some have been good, others not so good.

Since last week Slovenian web store BB Natura offers a discount of -55% on (some) Ikove products. This is an offer I can't refused :D
I ordered few products that I haven't tried yet.

Here is my (mini) Ikove haul:

- Acai Chocolate Body Polish
- Acai Chocolate Body Butter
- Rosemary & Amazonian Acai Bath & Shower Gel
- mini sized Hand Cream

I could review these products later on, if you are interested.

Do you know Ikove and their products? Any recommendation on which brands I should also try?

NOTD: Avon Golden Wine

I've been rocking Avon's Golden Wine on my nails since yesterday afternoon. And boy, is this polish pretty! Beautiful deep red shade packed with red shimmer and golden glass flecks. It looks like a half jely - very shiny and I used three coats, because my nail lines were still visible after just two. It's funny though - sometimes visible nail lines don't bother me at all, but with some shades I just can't stand the fact that my nail lines are still visible...

Back to this beauty. Take a look of the bottle I'm holding. Do you see all those sparkling golden glass flecks? Well, too bad that they don't show up on the nails as good as they are visible in the bottle. But I do love this polish anyway. It's pretty and I love red polishes :D

On to the pictures:

Your thoughts about this polish?

Blog Awards!

I'm always honoured when I receive a blog award. Just the thought that someone thinks of me, when passing the award on, makes me feel good and very happy.

Altough I'm usually late doing this kind of posts, I always do write them! :)

The first one is the one I should really have done ages ago... Lovely Blusherine actually gave me two awards! She has a great blog and I love reading her posts.

"Best Blog Award":

And "Cherry On Top Award":

Thank you very much for the awards, Blusherine! I really appreciate it! :*

And yesterday I received "The Stylish Blogger Award" from the Antoszewskia at The Colegge Students Nail Guide blog. She has started writing her own blog just recently, so, please, do check her blog. Thank you, Antoszewskia! You're really kind :)

But since I have already received this award last year, I won't be doing the whole post again.

I'm passing these awards to all my followers. We all need a great start of the year, so just accept the awards, please!

I still have couple of tags to do... I'm working on it, o.k.? :D

NOTD: China Glaze Sugar Plums

Today I'm wearing China Glaze Sugar Plums on my nails. I'm not sure, if this is a red or more purple(-ish) shade - some say that it is a red or burgundy shimmer, others it's a deep plum. It also contains small holographic glitter particles, which makes this polish quite interesting.

It has a great formula - very easy to apply, good coverage and interesting finish. I do recommend a top coat with this one, because it dries kinda bumpy.

On to the picture (it's clickable), 2 coats:

It was released as a part of China Glaze Holidays 2010 Collection - Tis The Season To Be Naughty And Nice.

And apparently this one is quite similar to an older and discontinued China Glaze polish - Crystal Ball. So, if you didn't get that one, this one could be good substitute.

What do you think about this one?

New Year's Manicure: OPI The Show Must Go On!

I've been wearing OPI The Show Must Go On! on the New Year's Eve. And it simply felt right :)

This polish was released as part of the OPI's Burlesque collection and it's a deep pink/bronze duo-chrome polish. Duo-chrome effect is quite visible in real life and I just love it.

I will quote Scrangie for further description of this shade and she says: "This has the same glass-fleck like metallic large particles of shimmer as the rest of the polishes (from this collection) and it makes for a really sparkly looking polish."

Here it is, 2 coats:

What polish did you rock on New Year's Eve? :)
