So, my B-Day is coming up and I thought I should buy myself some pretty things in andvance. Just to accept my age easier, you know. That and because of the fact that nobody buys me presents around here anymore *lol*

Essence Blossom Trend Edition (TE) stuff:

Funny thing about Blossoms TE - Mueller is a drugstore that usually gets first every Essence's Trend Edition. This time Mueller had different(!) display of this TE than other drugstores that got Blossoms later. And of course on the "new" display there were quite some items missing. So, I couldn't get one nail polish, because they didn't get it, at all. Luckily I bought off the liquid blush from a kind girl, because "You know what?" - the "new" display doesn't have that either. What's up with that, Essence?

American Apparel Nail Lacquer Series: African Violet

Hi! I'm back with the American Apparel Series. Sorry to keep you waiting so long, but sometimes life just gets in the way *lol*


Well, anyway, today I have for you another American Apparel polish called African Violet. It's a creme, medium dark and slightly red toned purple.

FOTD: 21. 4. 2011 - Perpetuum Jazzile Concert

Last Thursday my sister and I went on the Pepretuum Jazzile vocal group concert. They're awesome!

Perpetuum Jazzile is Slovenian acapella group - every sound they make comes from their voices. You should look up for them on the Youtube, especially for theirs Toto's Africa and Rosanna adaptation. They're are going on North America & Canada Tour soon, so don't miss them, if you like this kind of music.


I have decided to do a FOTD post of the make up I was wearing for that concert.

Here is what I used:

- Face: BellaPierre Mineral Foundation in Cinnamon, Lily Lolo Flawless Matte Finishing Powder;
- Eyes: Avon Anew Lifting e/s in Bare for base, Meow Cosmetics Ideal Eyes in Cats in the cradle, Sleek i-Divine Palette in Storm and on the lower lash line I used Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds in Twilight Sparkle and Sleek Storm Palette, Essence Multi-Action Mascara;
- Cheeks: Alverde Rouge in 504 Magic Rose;
- Lips: NYX Round Lipstick in Pumpkin Pie.

What do you think? I know I just hate my eyebrows...

American Apparel Nail Lacquer Series: Rouge

I'm back with the second American Appareal Nail Lacquer! This time I'm showing you the shade called Rouge.


Rouge is dusty rose / mauve colour - some would say "grandma" colour, but I like it. I know... Lately I really like nudes, mauves etc... I think I'm just getting old...*lol*

This one has a great formula compared to Mannequin and it went on smoothly and even. I used two coats for these swatches.

American Apparel Nail Lacquer Series: Mannequin

Hello!

Today I'm here with the "Part 1" of the American Apparel Series.


Let's take a look again, which polishes we will see in the next few days:

The first one up is a shade called Mannequin. I have read that this baby can be PITA. And guess what? It is *lol* (Altough, I was secretly hoping that my bottle will be just great.) The polish is quite thick and it applies streaky. I used two thicker coats for the photos below.

I really like the colour, I must say. It's a nice nude / beige shade that looks a bit different once is on the nails than in the bottle and somehow more peachy in real life, at least on me.

NOTD: Hard Candy Mr. Wrong

No way that this gorgeous could be Mr. Wrong! I got it in a swap package from Jackie and Holiday asked, if I could show the two Hard Candy polishes I got in that swap. So, Holiday, just for you: here is the first one - Hard Candy Mr. Wrong.

It's really hard to describe this colour - it's purple / silver metallic shade with golden micro glitter in it. Just awesome!

Random Ramblings, Vol. 002

I'm back with another "Random Ramblings" post :)


Yes, I'm still here and I'm so glad that I am. It's been a really weird week...

On Monday evening I experienced "cyber attack" or something - I was hanging on Facebook, just checking through what's going on, when all of a sudden my antivirus protection program goes crazy! For about 15 minutes it kept biipping and alarming about viruses and other cyber crap and everything I clicked didn't work. Somehow I managed to turn off the computer and that was it. It crashed. I hope I'll get all the pictures and some other files I had on that computer back.


On Tuesday my car needed a touch of a mechanic. "This is just getting better and better" I was thinking. Oh, yes!


On Wednesday morning I woke up with a marvelous headache and I had to go to school where I'm volunteering. When I got home I went straight to bed.


The headache continued untill Thursday. Of course, that day my phone just didn't stop ringing. O.k., I see that you called, I will call you back, you know. Do you really have to call me like 4 times in a row? Grrrr...


Ugh, enough rant...

One nice thing did happen this week though... These babies arrived!

I won 5 AA polishes of my choice two or three month ago on Fashion Polish blog and they finally arrived :D

I was thinking I could do the American Apparel week or something, if you would be interested in :)

Swap Package From Last Friday Night Was A Royal Treat & NOTD

Very Wild And Not So Willing NOTD

This polish is so awesome! Really Wild, but sadly not so Willing to cooperate with my camera... *lol*


I'm sure you know about which polish I'm talking about, right? ;)

It's Color Club Wild And Willing:

I got this one in a swap package from Jessika at Polish Insomniac and I just had to try it on first.


Huh, I don't know how to describe this colour - it's more than a duo-chrome, I could say it's multi-chrome. I can see some gold, copper, pink and even green, when I'm moving my nails to catch different lighting. But most of the time it's a coppery-golden pink, if that makes any sense. It's way to cool to decribe it *lol*

It's a bit sheer, but on my (currently) very short nails (I've been a baby sitter for the last three months - that means constant hand washing, changing diapers, again hand washing... And all that left my nails and hands in a very poor shape...) I got away with two thicker coats. Otherwise it needs three coats for opacity, I'd say.
